Class description: 🎹 Play-full Piano Level 2
The music is really starting to play!
In Level Two, the joy of learning continues as children deepen their piano skills and musical understanding. Building on everything they’ve explored in Level One, students are now ready to expand their keyboard range, learning five new notes and using them to play more complex and expressive songs.
🎵 What we inspire in students:
Continue to develop piano and xylophone technique
Learn five additional notes to expand our song repertoire
Strengthen music theory, notation reading, and rhythm skills
Play in small group ensembles with keyboard, glockenspiels, and percussion
Sing, move, and express music with growing creativity and confidence
Explore music genres of Appalachia folk music, African-American spirituals and jazz, and Native-American drumming and songs
With excitement and pride, students begin to feel like real musicians—reading, playing, and creating music with joy!
*There is a piano 2 folder with at-home activities, games and sheet music to play with as a family. Practice tutorial videos emailed weekly. Class limited to 4-5 students.
